Course Description
This presentation is designed for adult children and families who are starting to worry about an aging parent and aren’t sure what to do next. It walks attendees through the early warning signs that additional support may be needed, including changes in health, safety, independence, and daily functioning. From there, it provides a clear, practical overview of the full continuum of senior care – home care, home health, hospice, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, long-term care, and continuing care retirement communities.
Participants will learn how to determine the appropriate level of care, understand typical costs and payment options, and recognize when it may be time to transition from in-home support to a care community. The presentation also equips families with the right questions to ask when researching and touring facilities, helping them make confident, informed decisions during an emotional and often overwhelming time.
Attendees leave with a step-by-step roadmap, trusted resources, and reassurance that help is available.
